I wrote a track for every single day of September 2022. Having previously completed an album in 24 hours, writing an album in a month doesn't seem like that much of a challenge. However, the scope and diversity of this album as well as the mixing, polishing and commitment to finishing on time have almost made it harder to complete than XXIV.

Nonetheless I've still managed to fit a lot into this month, including cinema, theatre and Blackpool Pleasure Beach trips as well as a full month of night work. Hopefully these have also shaped the album along the way and allowed me to ground it in my experiences this month.

I've been able to experiment with writing in different styles, and many more tracks than usual feature some form of guitar work too. I was able to collaborate with my friend Jack Rowland on the track On The Road, which he provided piano for.

Overall it's been a busy month and I'm ready for a rest, but hopefully you can find some interesting, inspired and varied writing in Thirty, my new album.
